Empowering Managers and Leaders

It can be lonely at the top, or even in the middle.
I provide insight, scope and hands-on problem solving tools within a safe, non-judgmental partnership. I work with professionals from corporate and non-profit backgrounds who not only want specific guidance, but who also want to learn, grow, develop their skills and feel more confident and grounded as a professional manager or as a strong leader. For clinical settings, I offer supervision trainings for supervisors.
Successful managers and leaders can connect to their staff and create creative, positive environments in which work gets done efficiently. I believe that the combination of my training and ability to be in-tune with you are what can help me facilitate your growth.
I believe in trust, integrity, honesty, respect, ethics, boundaries, as well as clear communication and expectations.
Areas of focus include:
Setting good boundaries
Dealing with ethical issues/conflicts of interest
Connecting without getting enmeshed with your staff
Running effective meetings
Setting clear expectations
Management styles and approaches
Assigning tasks clearly
Providing honest and useful feedback
When and how to confront
Time management
Conflict resolution
Managing versus leading
Skills specific to various cultures
Relaxation sessions (muscle relaxation, guided imagery, breathing techniques)
Whether you are a new or established manager or leader, it's always worth investing in yourself, and sooner than later!
In the words of Brené Brown, “We desperately need more leaders who are committed to courageous, wholehearted leadership and who are self-aware enough to lead from their hearts, rather than unevolved leaders who lead from hurt and fear (From Dare to Lead)."
